Othello

$5.95
Othello was written in 1603 about the Moorish general in command of the armed forces of Venice, who earns the enmity of his ensign Iago by passing him over for a promotion. Iago plots to convince Othello that Desdemona, his wife, has been unfaithful to him. Iago attempts to break up the marriage and their lives by playing on their weaknesses and the fact that Othello is of a different racial background. Othello tragically smothers Desdemona. Iago and Othello are both captured by the guards, but when Othello finds out that it has been a lie started by Iago, he commits suicide.
