Riddle of Penncroft Farm, The

Lars Olafson, 12, moves with his parents to Valley Forge to live with his aged Aunt Cass. Lars is miserable leaving his friends behind--until he meets Geordie. Geordie wears odd clothes and speaks strangely and tells amazing stories about Valley Forge and George Washington--stories so real that one would almost imagine that Geordie had been there. When Aunt Cass dies suddenly, Lars is faced with a mystery linked to the Revolutionary War--and Geordie’s ghostly stories are his only chance of solving it. It turns out that Geordie is the ghost of an eighteenth-century ancestor who helps Lars solve a mystery.
