Scorpions

Jamal is a twelve year-old boy who lives in the inner city ghetto. His father visits him occasionally and his mother works all the time. Jamal feels like everyone is expecting things from him, his teachers, the kids at school, even his dad. When his brother, Randy, is sentenced to jail, his friend, Crazy Mack wants Jamal to take over as leader of the Scorpion gang and run crack. Jamal doesn't care for drugs, but it will help save up money for Randy's appeal. Jamal's life changes when he acquires a gun. Though he survives the experience, it's not without sacrificing his innocence and best friend.
