Series of Unfortunate Events, A: The Miserable Mill

The Beaudelaire orphans are sent to live and work in a sinister Lucky Smells Lumbermill, being fed nothing but a stick of chewing gum for lunch, nasty casseroles for dinner--and always living in fear of Count Olaf. Next to the mill is an eye-shaped building that is an eye clinic. But, then Klaus breaks his glasses and goes to the clinic he doesn't return for hours. Violet reveals that Count Olaf has donned a disguise of Shirley the receptionist that can't be seen by adults. Only by using their strengths -- Violet's knack for inventing, Klaus's book smarts, and Sunny's T-Rex-like bite -- can they escape their latest fate.
