Shiloh Season

Now that Marty Preston owns the abused dog, Shiloh, Marty is afraid that Judd Travers will try to take him back forcibly out of spite. Judd drinks a lot and illegally hunts on the Preston property. Marty had a serious conversation with his wise dad—the local doctor and veterinarian—Marty makes a real effort to understand why Judd is so mean and especially abusive to animals. Marty attempts to explore his own feelings, trying to control his anger and understand Judd better. When Travers suffers a serious accident—but thanks to Shiloh, not fatal, Marty makes peace with him through persistent acts of kindness.
