Weasel

Set in 1839 in Ohio, Nathan Fowler, 11, is captured by the renegade killer Weasel, but escaped. Children whisper that he is part man and part animal. But he knows that Weasel is real: a man, an Indian fighter the government sent to drive off the Indians. But, the Shawnees are dead and Weasel has turned on the settlers. Like his namesake, he hunts by night and sleeps by day, and he kills for the sport of it...After Nathan escaped, he swore revenge because he knows could hurt his family. His father wants him to wait for the law to take care of Weasel. But Nathan is impatient.
