Yolanda 's Genius

Yolanda is smarter than anyone in the fifth grade. Her mother, a legal professional and a widow, is concerned about crime in her school. She moves them to a smaller town. Her first-grade brother, Andrew, who never talks much, is having trouble learning to read. What he loves to do is play on the harmonica his father gave him as a baby. He can imitate any sound he hears. Yolanda understands that that's the way he "talks." She is convinced Andrew is a true genius. But no one else believes it. Her plans crystallize on a visit to Chicago to enjoy the blues festival with her Aunt Tiny.
